Blackjack Switch - A Blackjack Game That Favours The Player

One popular and unique blackjack variation is referred to as Blackjack Switch, which gives the player the ability to switch cards between 2 hands.

What's really interesting about this game is that players will receive four cards that make up two hands of blackjack but the last card of each hand can be exchanged to create a stronger hand.

The Rules of Blackjack Switch
Let's consider the next example. Imagine that you are playing two hands of blackjack and you're dealt an Ace and Four on the first hand and a 7 and Queen on the second.

In classic blackjack this would leave you with a total hand of 5/15 for the first hand and 17 on the second one. In Blackjack Switch you can improve both hands by switching the Four and the Queen to give you 21 and 11, which are much better hands.

Because some of the rules of the game follow those of traditional blackjack, for example all Splits and Doubles are allowed, you could then Stand on the first hand and then Double on the second one to look for a 21.

This is the fundamental difference between Traditional and Switch Blackjack which gives players a unique advantage in the game, although it comes at a price.

One consequence of allowing you to exchange cards between hands is that dealer Hits on a soft 17 hand, thus increasing the house's edge by 0.22%.

It's important to highlight other rules variations of Blackjack Switch, like natural blackjack hands are not paid at 3:2 but instead they payout at 1:1.

Another variation worth mentioning is that whenever the dealer draws 22, he will not go Bust but instead will Push a player's 21 and any other hand value except for a natural 21 which pays 1:1 to the player.

Please bear in mind that if after exchanging cards you get a Blackjack hand, this will not be considered a natural Blackjack.

The Super Match Side Bet
There's also a side game available on Blackjack Switch that allows players to wager additional money on a side bet that pays out depending on specific hand combinations.

One winning hand combination on the Super Match side-bet is a hand of pairs which pays bets at 2:1 and getting two pairs will give you 8 times your original stake.

Other great hand combination with high payouts are three of a kind which multiplies your bet by five and a lucky four of a kind will see your bet multiplied by 40!

Placing a wager on the side bet is entirely up to you but if you decide to give it a go, if will surely make your game much more thrilling and exciting.
